Do you have the space for it in your home ?

There are different types of Home Gym Equipment, each taking up different amounts of space. The last thing you want to happen is that you buy your Home Gym Equipment, assemble it and find that it won't fit in space you had allocated for it.

The solution, measure the space you intend to use before buying, and look at the specification of the Equipment and allow at least six feet extra on all sides.

Here are examples of size differences.

This piece of home Gym Equipment is small, and will fit in most spaces, all you would need is space to store it and workout.

What type of Home Gym Equipment do you want ?

The type of Home Gym Equipment you need depends many things, how many different exercises you want to do, how serious a workout you want and your need to keep the workout interesting. Answering those questions will help you decide the type of Home Gym Equipment you want.

A small home gym will limit the number of different exercises you can do, so you could get bored but it's perfect for the person that just wants to keep in shape and maybe loose some weight.

The bigger the home gym, the more you can do .... more exercises, more ways to isolate the muscles you want to work on if you're toning up or building strength, and it's less likely you will get bored.

Any Home Gym Equipment will give you a good workout, you need to decide how serious a workout you want ? There is no point in getting a bench and some weights, when you know deep down a better home gym would motivate you to do a workout every day.

So when it comes to Home Gym Equipment, bigger can be better, IF you are serious about your workout.

Home Gym Equipment Questions

Welcome to my Home Gym Equipment Info blog.

When you are considering buying Home Gym Equipment, there are some questions you should ask yourself.

1. What do you want to use it for ?
2. What type of Home Gym Equipment do you want ?
3. Do you have the space for it in your home ?
4. What is your Budget ?

My next series of posts will try to help you answer these questions, lets start at number 1.

1. What do you want to use it for ?

By "What do you want to use it for", I mean what are you trying to achieve by getting Home Gym Equipment ?

Yes, there is a difference.

You won't need heavy weights to get fit, stay fit, tone-up, lose weight, or improve muscle definition. You achieve this by doing a lot of "repetitions" with weights you can lift easily for at least 20 repetitions, not by lifting heavy weights.

To build muscle or strength, you will need to have heavy weights, that you will lift a maximum of 8 to 12 times.
If this is what you want, you will begin to use them as your strength grows, and they will need to either come with the Home Gym Equipment when you purchase it, or there should be an option that they can be added later.
